Koi | Fingering Weight

Koi, named after the Koi fish. As mom with 2 young adult daughters, things that used to be routine are now few and far between. One of my favorite memories with the girls is from a trip to the local plant nursery. I was on the hunt for calla lilies and vine plants. The nursery had a beautiful koi pond surrounded by plants. They both immediately rushed over to feed the fish. It was beautiful to see them laugh and take a moment to just enjoy life and each other. 15 and 20 at the time, those moments of innocence and pure happiness seemed to less frequent.I had to create a colorway to bring that memory back to life.
 
This yarn is a standard 4 ply weight, made with 100% superwashed merino wool. This means the fibres have been specially treated before being spun to enable it to be machine washable, therefore it will not ‘felt’ when dyed or washed. It is a great easy-care yarn. The wool has a natural elasticity which helps a merino garment to stretch yet return back to its original shape and the natural properties of wool provide great insulation which helps regulate the body temperature in hot or cold climates. The wool is mulesing free and comes from Peru. 
Care Instructions: Machine washable on a wool program ideally using a wool detergent at 30?C or below. Dry flat, do not sun dry or tumble dry. Avoid wringing and twisting.
