Hi, I’m Jessica, the owner and dyer behind Jadawoo Designs. My journey into yarn dyeing began on a simple yarn crawl. I had set out with a clear vision of the colorway I wanted to bring home, one that lived vividly in my imagination, but after visiting shop after shop I couldn’t find anything quite like it. What might have felt like disappointment at first quickly turned into inspiration. I realized that if I was searching for something unique, other makers must be too—and that perhaps there was space in the yarn world for me to create it.
From that spark, Jadawoo Designs was born. What started as an experiment with dye pots and color quickly grew into a passion for bringing vibrant, expressive yarns to life. For me, dyeing is about more than color—it’s about offering fiber that helps knitters, crocheters, and weavers tell their own stories. Every skein I create is infused with intention, designed to highlight the creativity and individuality of the maker who chooses it.
My mission is simple but deeply meaningful: inspiring makers to show off their own unique maker style. I want everyone who visits Jadawoo Designs to feel welcome, encouraged, and free to express themselves fully through their craft. The joy of making isn’t just in the finished piece, but in the journey—those quiet stitches, the vibrant bursts of color, the community that grows around shared creativity.
This blog is a continuation of that mission. Here, I’ll share glimpses behind the scenes of my dyeing process, stories from my fiber journey, and updates from events and shows. I’ll introduce you to new products as they’re released and give you a peek at the inspiration that shapes my colorways. More than anything, this will be a place for connection—where my voice meets yours, and where we celebrate the beauty of making together.
I’m so glad you’re here. Whether you’re a knitter, crocheter, weaver, or simply someone who loves the magic of fiber, welcome to Jadawoo Designs. I can’t wait to share this journey with you, and I can’t wait to see where your creativity takes you.

Please feel free to share how you started your fiber journey in the comments!
